Digital Product Passport

Erreà

In a context where European regulations on sustainability and traceability are reshaping the industrial landscape, Erreà has chosen to take a proactive approach, anticipating change and positioning itself as a leader in transparency and traceability.

Renowned for the quality of its sportswear, the brand has embarked on an ambitious journey to trace its entire supply chain, in collaboration with Ympact, adopting the Digital Product Passport (DPP) as a key tool to ensure regulatory compliance, sustainability, and transparency for all stakeholders.

This initiative went far beyond simply adopting a new technology: it triggered a profound cultural shift within the company.

Traceability has become the foundation on which Erreà has built new relationships with suppliers, customers, and institutions, ensuring solid accountability and a strong reputation in an increasingly regulated environment.

Sustainability Manager at Erreà

“The goal of this project is to create a connection between the end consumer and the brand through a digital experience. By sharing content, we aim to convey the company’s values, including environmental and social principles.”

Erreà’s responsible approach represents a strategic response to the imperative of anticipating and proactively managing the growing regulatory complexity and reputational expectations that are redefining the textile and apparel sector.

On this basis, Erreà, together with the Ympact team, defined two strategic needs within the project:

Digitize supply chain control

Eliminating fragmented and unverifiable data management (such as Excel sheets, self-declarations, and static certifications), to ensure secure, continuous, and easily accessible traceability.

Manage regulatory and reputational risks

Anticipating the entry into force of crucial regulations such as the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), in order to safeguard the company’s reputation and guarantee compliance with new requirements.

Objectives

Make the entire supply chain fully traceable, down to each individual production order.

Integrate the Digital Product Passport as a strategic asset, turning transparency into a competitive advantage.

Strengthen trust with partners, customers, and institutions through a robust traceability system.

What Erreà did

Results achieved

100% of the supply chain mapped and traceable,
down to the production lot.

DPP fully active and ready for regulatory integration
(ESPR and mandatory digital passport).

Regulatory compliance with current and upcoming EU requirements.

Significant time savings in document collection, improving efficiency in responses to institutional requests and public tenders.

Traceability as a tool to measure and improve environmental, social, and production impact.

Strengthened trust with stakeholders and institutions, increasingly demanding in terms of transparency and accountability.

As European regulations become operational realities, many companies risk being unprepared, relying on non-integrated solutions or unreliable data. Erreà, instead, has chosen the path of integrated digital traceability, verifiable transparency, and collaboration with a strategic partner like Ympact.

In a market that is increasingly regulated, transparent, and competitive, those who take a step forward today gain a competitive advantage not only operationally, but also strategically and reputationally.
